Blue Igloo is an online home décor retailer and a full service design firm.
OUR HISTORY
2005
FOUNDED
Canadian born Environmental Designer James Appleton founds Blue Igloo in Toronto.
His vision was to assemble a collection of unique, high quality home decor items and furnishings that would cater to a masculine aesthetic and offer them exclusively to his design clients.
ONLINE
As demand for the products grows the collection is offered to the public for the first time online.
2006
PILOT LAUNCH
After support from design clients and the public a one-year pilot project is launched. A Blue Igloo concept store opens on Queen Street West in Parkdale, Toronto.
2007
BACK ONLINE
With the popularity of online shopping growing among Canadians and consumers around the world the decision is made to once again offer the collection of retail products online only.

GOING STRONG
The Blue Igloo brand has grown to include a full service design firm and we ship our collection of retail products from our studio located in Toronto, Ontario on Queen Street West to Canada, the USA and 133 international countries.

Curated by our design team this collection is constantly evolving to reflect global design trends.
It consists of a blend of vintage and new home décor, lighting and furnishings as well as novelty gifts and products for your pet sourced from around the world.
FABRIC BY THE METRE
A focused collection of 1st quality fabrics sourced from European suppliers based out of France, Italy, Germany and Spain.
CUSTOM
Through a private consultation in your home we offer Canadian made custom drapery, window shades, horizontal and Roman blinds.
